Steve Newman Bio![]() Steve Newman, PGA Professional, has more than 16 years of teaching experience at some of the greatest clubs in the country including nine years at historic Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, MI. Oakland Hills has hosted multiple major championships including 6 U.S. Opens, U.S. Amateur, 3 PGA Championships, U.S. Amateur and the 2004 Ryder Cup Matches. He served as the Director of Golf at The Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green, KY. Steve Most also served as the Director of Operations at Golf Academy of America.
Steve is originally from Bowling Green where he also graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelors of Science in Marketing. He served as Assistant Golf Professional at Indian Hills Country Club in Bowling Green before moving on to Oakland Hills. He was a member of the 1989 Kentucky State High School Championship team as well. Steve is a TPI Certified Golf Fitness Instructor and has the ability to measure and identify physical strengths, weaknesses and limitations.
